After considering 4 or 5 different locations in West End, Cardero Street intersection between Nelson and Comox emerged as the best option for our first on-street mural.

Cardero is heavily used as a pedestrian corridor between Davie and Robson and is also a designated bike street. There is a mini-park where Cardero intersects with the Comox so the flow of car traffic within that block is very low.  Right at the intersection there are a few colourful heritage houses and a small neighbourhood cafe with a couple of chairs and a table offering an opportunity to sit outside and enjoy the mural. Lord Roberts Elementary School, playground and community gardens are just around the corner from the site.

Here are a few photos provided by one of the participants in the project. Thank you Justine for sharing your images!
